This project in Valencia, CA, was a complete bathroom transformation. We replaced an old bathtub with a modern, high-end walk-in shower that is both beautiful and easy to use.
Our team handled the entire conversion, which meant removing the old tub and installing all-new plumbing. We added a 3-way diverter system to operate a luxury rain showerhead and updated the drainage to fit the new layout. We were careful to keep the existing tile in the hallway and around the toilet to ensure the new work blended in perfectly with the rest of the home.
The Challenger
The main task was turning the bathtub area into a functional, spacious shower. To make the best use of the space, we built a triangular bench—perfect for sitting or shaving—and installed a sleek sliding glass door. To meet the owner’s request for better accessibility, we added a sturdy ADA-compliant grab bar that fits the high-end look of the room. We also included a large 30×30-inch custom wall niche to provide plenty of space for toiletries.
The Result
The final result is a luxury shower finished with beautiful limestone tile. The new space is comfortable, safe, and sophisticated. By combining the rain shower, the convenient bench, and the clean look of the new tile, we created a bathroom that feels brand new while still matching the classic style of the home.
